General information
The Mathematical Institute is located at Spiegelgasse 1 in Basel. To get there from
- the train station Basel SBB: take Tram 11 towards St. Louis Grenze and exit at the stop Schifflände (travel time is approximately 10 minutes)
- the train station Basel Badischer Bahnhof: take Tram 6 towards Allschwil, Dorf and exit at the stop Schifflände (travel time is approximately 10 minutes)
- the EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg: take Bus 50 towards Basel SBB, change at Kannenfeldplatz to Bus 31 towards Riehen, Friedhof am Hörnli or Bus 38 towards Wyhlen, Siedlung and exit at the stop Schifflände (travel time is approximately 15 minutes)
Please note that the power plugs and sockets from Switzerland may differ from the ones of your home country. There is an adaptor available at the Institute of Mathematics. However to charge your devices in the hotel you probably need your own one.
Reimbursement of expenses
For the reimbursement of travel costs will need the following information:
- Title, Surname, First Name
- Address, Country, Post Code, City
- Telephone, E-Mail
- Date of Birth, Nationality
- Name of Bank/Post Office, Country, Post Code, City
- Name of account holder
- IBAN Nr., BIC
For individuals resident in Switzerland the following information is additionally required
- Marital Status (single, married, reg. partnership, divorced, separated, widowed)
- Status (scholar or student)
- Social security number (AHV-Nummer)
- Work Permit (B-Permit, L-Permit, C-Permit): Please enclose the official permission
- If you are self-employed please enclose official confirmation of the Federal Mutual Compensation Fund
Please retain the original receipts of your expenses and/or boarding passes and submit them.
